In the marriage of air and water

In the marriage of air and water
God rejoices; there is the most
subtle art

From the sky learn
the hidden secret of color
substanceless, mysterious
unweighed by material gravity

In water is revealed
the very nature of form
infinite in transmutation
the many in one, one in many

Air borrows form from water
water borrows tint from air
as above, so below
The cyclic dance of elementals
the goddess-body manifest
Naked, for the love of God

And we two motes of life
shall spin therein together
over aeons.

From our dance is born
intricate existence
As from God's
simple reality.
