The sea is calm tonight

The full moon rising

trembles on the water

as my heart trembles

thinking of you



Floods of silver light

illuminate this darkling harbor

As your golden glow

Illumines my stranger's life



I came to this world alone

I visited our son tonight

on his boat in the frosty moon

The dock was`slippery with ice

and we nearly fell, the

two of us, one of us



He gathered mussels for  me
